SERTUC are organising a conference on Trade Councils and County Associations - proposed date is 14 April 2007 at Congress House - SERTUC are consulting with GLATUC on date. report back from SERTUC Transport Sub-Committee visit to Waterloo SE1 - there is an invitation for Trade Councils to make a submission to the Cross River Tram consultation. The proposed new tram line is from Camden to Brixton and Peckham. Given the proposed line runs through LB Lambeth - Waterloo SE1/ Oval SW9/ Brixton SW9 - we may wish to make a submission. papers for Trade Councils 2007 Conference (Gateshead?) to be sent out. Lambeth TUC can send delegates and submit a motion to GLATUC - as motions go from County Associations. I sent in written reports on Lambeth TUC and SERTUC LGBT NETWORK, which I spoke to. Agreed GLATUC will circulate TUC briefing on LGB Goods & Services to Trade Councils. Also GLATUC will circulate TUC contacts in response to question from Barking & Dagenham TUC GLATUC are to look at another open meeting on 10/03/2007 to mark International Women's Day - the meeting will be at Transport House WC1 and on theme of sex work. GLATUC Women's Officer - Gwen Cook - Hammersmith & Fulham TUC will liaise with GMB London Sex Workers Branch and the International Union of Sex Workers. The meeting agreed to support a motion to SERTUC from USDAW - on carers though agreed Gwen Cook will make the points about caring should not be left to family - given reports this week on future of Home Care. motion from Brent TUC on the issue of UNISON Plymouth City Council Branch Secretary and his disciplinary could not be taken as the Brent TUC delegates were not present. I proposed GLATUC sends a delegate to the Unite Against Fascism Conference - 17/02/2007 - agreed.
